There's nothing like plastering "CapitaLand, Rock build $660m integrated hub" to really get the day started.
Better still, the first paragraph that begins with "so-and-so and so-and-so... will spend a whopping (emphasis mine) $660 million to develop an integrated civic, cultural, retail, and entertainment hub at Vista Xchange..." is enough to be thankful that:
1. We have a SMART and WISE and SAVVY church management who have the guts, wisdom and discernment to be so ambitious as to garner such massive support from a major property player AND a government body.2. I only need to take a 15-20 minute WALK there when it is ready in 3-4 years' time.
3. We're going to make people jealous - because we have a Heavenly Father who is ABLE TO PREPARE and PROVIDE in such a TIMELY MANNER (imagine what other property players are thinking... mwahahah).
4. We are the ANCHOR TENANT, instead of some supermarket or departmental store. Just imagine - a CHURCH being the ANCHOR tenant of a mall! The stronghold that keeps the place running! It's blasphemously thrilling!
5. All but ONE of the media (The Straits Times) did not mention New Creation Church - I predict massive flaming for this. But who cares?!
6. ALL of us who have been serving in the church have played a part in this, offerings or no. And WE are and will be a BLESSING not only to Capitaland and JTC, but to ALL prospective tenants there!
7. Our Heavenly Father is taking the lead in this project. Everything has been so WONDERFULLY mapped out - from exponential congregational growth, the rising number of wealthy people in our midst, the increasing wisdom amongst our leaders, the number of YEARS it took for the business deals to go through before the news was allowed for public consumption :P... and HE GETS ALL THE CREDIT because HE IS GOOD BEYOND ALL LIMITS!!!!!!!

Wood, it was cold and dead. Yet when i touched it, i sensed familiarity. i was like it, cold and lifeless. then came a Man whose name is Life. He told me about Himself and where He was going. Although He was a Stranger, His words burn within me like a fire and i was consumed. Since then, i followed Him and became like Him.
As i walked, i saw woods along the way and I shared Life with them. they too, were consumed by Life. More and more became like Him and walked along the same way as I did. As they journeyed on, they found woods and shared Life with them too. Nonetheless, some chose to remain just as they were and they never gave themselves the chance to walk along the way. there were also some who fell along the way too.
Yet, Life was gentle and patient with all. He lifted those who fell and strengthened them. Renewed and washed, those that fell stood up strong again and they walked on. However among those who fell, there were some who never gave themselves the chance to walk the way again.
Toward the end of the way, i saw many others who looked just like Life. Then, I took a mirror and looked into it. I tried looking for myself but I found none of me. all that I could see was only Life. A question brewed within me, was it me or was it Him who completed and walked this journey? i searched within me and found an answer within my heart. It says, "Son, We have become one.".
